Security+ is a vendor-neutral, security certification program that enables individuals to acquire the initial skills needed for an Information Security Professional and to gain Security+ certification. Security+ certification is geared towards individuals that are new to Information Security and are looking to gain the fundamental skills to have a wide breadth of Security knowledge. Security+ certified IT Professionals are proficient in a wide range of security concepts, including access control, authentication, and external attack. They also are familiar with operational and organizational security and the basics of cryptography.
CISSP
International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) provides two levels of certification: CISSP, for information systems [IS] security professionals; and SSCP, for information systems security practitioners.
Security Certified Program (SCP)
SCP is a two-level, vendor-neutral security certification program that enables individuals to acquire the advanced skills needed for an Information Security Professional and to get certified as a Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP) or a Security Certified Network Architect (SCNA).
